Boston Resource Center visit
Department of Mental Health Commissioner Barbara Leadholm visited the resource center on Thursday, January 17th 2008.
She also brought Elaine Hill, Deputy Commissioner, Mental Health Services and
Regina Marshall, Chief of Staff.
Dukakis visited the Boston Resource Center in 2007
Kitty Dukakis, wife of former Massachusetts Governor and 1988 presidential nominee Michael Dukakis, visited the Boston Resource Center on Thursday, Sept. 27. A guest of the resource center and the BMC Division of Psychiatry, she spoke at the hospital's Psychiatry Grand Rounds from 2-3 p.m. in Keefer Auditorium of the BU School of Medicine, on the topic of electroconvulsive therapy (ECT). The title of her lecture was also the title of her new book, "Shock: The Healing Power of Electroconvulsive Therapy," in which she strives to counter the negative image of ECT among the public. A book signing and open house followed at the Boston Resource Center on the 5th floor of the DMH Solomon Carter Fuller Mental Health Center, 85 East Newton Street, Boston from 3-4pm.
